Ok, so after all that... Both Tandberg and Inlet "dropped off" - which is fine, they wanted me to commit to an investment and I just didn't feel it was worth it - or that their products offered enough "extras" for the price I would have to pay, let alone for the duration of the contracts they offer, to make it worth while.

I built my own and am damn happy I did... for a fraction of the cost and I get to work directly with the companies that develop and build the core technologies I rely on anyway, so it's not like I missed out on a lot of "hands on support" that I would have gotten otherwise, with a big investment... it just proves there are a lot of smack talkers out there (And I am not referring to Zip, he clearly only offered support after we received the "test gear"... )

I am still living the dream, just with better spend...

Hi Nico - I'm "zip", the US Product Manager for the TANDBERG Content Server (TCS). When you get your test gear, I'd be happy to help you configure it - especially the cool new functionality in version S3.2 (in beta release candidate #1 as I write this). Please don't hesitate to reach out.

Bruce Zieper
Sr. Product Manager
