I am on the road and can’t get into this too deeply at this very moment, what YOU are experiencing falls under the same umbrella as “harassing phone calls”and you have clear threats or so you say, what kind of threats? Once a threat is made, be it physical or defamation of character, (i.e. someone is calling you names in an effort to embarrass you or making accusations that are untrue, etc., etc.) you have a very strong case on your side, regardless of whether they are being sent directly to you, or worse yet, to your friends & colleagues.

The modes of communication are both regulated by the FCC / The Federal Government and aggravated harassment is a crime – Land Phone, Cell phone and Text Message (a.k.a. SMS/MMS) – doesn’t matter which or all of the above.

Why don’t you drop me a line after I return to NYC – once again, as I remind all those who communicate with me – Don’t block your number & call me from a number where I can call you back based on the Caller ID.

I think there may be some defamation of character in your case, let’s discuss and as painful as it may be, forward the nasty text messages to YOUR phone from your friends phones and back everything up – that is what I had to do – take pictures, talk to your carrier and see what they can do to help you back up!

Mind you, a case like this can take a VERY long time to resolve! Up to 2 years!~ And so, even if you get them to stop, you are still living (and re-living) it and dealing with the past when everyone should be moving on. I have done a lot of research on the matter.

In the mean time, be clear and direct – tell the person to cease and desist, tell them they are committing a crime and that you will seek legal action. It is very cowardly for someone to take their anger at you out on other people by annoying them w unwanted texting, sounds like some “mental damage” so watch your back and check your tub for boiled bunnies before you hop in (Easter humor?).

It boggles my mind how rampant this insanity is, seriously… I get like 200 hits a day from people Searching online for ways to solve their stalker, psycho caller/texter issues – You’re an SEO guy so you will appreciate that I see searches for “anonymous flowers” and “stalker shrines” and “how to catch your stalker” x20 per day!! I think we have some keywords to position for a whole new website!!

I wound up staying in town – Had an emergency webcast yesterday, I will not be around for a few days…. unless something else pops up! And thanks for the kind words & support, but things are really going extremely well with me, getting back in to the swing of things& recuperating from that entire fiasco from last year… But, that is so 2009 and 2010 is the year we will both ROCK! Big time…. nothing can bring us down now

Sorry I missed you last week, I was in D.C.at a gig – I think I may be in town until this Weds. and then possibly back on the road until next Tuesday, so maybe we can grab a cup o’ joe then?
I hope things are going better for you, sounds like work is going well, at least you are busy – glad you got out of that “situation”. As for me, yeah… He basically stole from me – that’s the way I see it. He still says that he ‘loves’ me and that we are “family” haha, what ever that means. Seriously, he and all those folks over there are like grifters! Right? I don’t want to burn any bridges though, you never know. So, I am trying to just keep it peaceful and at least giving the impression that everything is ok between all of us.

I googled some words and your article came up. An unfortunate yet interesting story you had going on. I seem to be having a problem myself. I have a person who has been calling my “Cell” phone, not home phone from a Restricted # the last 3 weeks EVERYDAY! This person calls me early in the morning,7am everyday…as if they have a routine…and they punch dials…to let me know they are there, and at night. They are breathing..it sounds like a man. I really dont know who it is at this point..I dont have enemies. Just a young girl living my life. What APP traces Restricted Numbers from Cell Phones?? This person is not calling my house, so I can not use that *57 thing you were talking about?? Thank you for sharing your story
