Today is a good day because it feels like progress is being made, finally!

I needed to spend some time rationalizing and mapping out how I would best run all our services remotely, simultaneously routing HD/SD video feeds for satellite up-link and split the signal into at least one media encoder for streaming (I am building a custom encoder in-house for reasons mentioned in previous post of “frustration”).

When I was making the rounds at SatCon/HDCon 2008, I was making a concerted effort to keep an open mind, to be thoughtful and understanding when new sales rep’s felt the need to explain to me how streaming media works…

Another day spent waiting for Verizon… **UPDATED!!

Another scheduled on-site has been canceled because the latest Engineer assigned to us is “out of the office” until tomorrow – another spike in the proverbial road paved with missing work orders, P.O.’s, wiring diagrams and other such documents that get stuck in the pipeline.

UPDATE: Verizon showed up today and we have a PROMISE TO MAKE GOOD 10/22/2008
